Company

A small company, on purpose.

SCORP is a software company. We design and build our own products, and we keep the team small enough that everyone touches the work.

What we do

We design and build software: the part you touch and the part underneath. The same people do both, from the first sketch to the release, so nothing is handed over and nothing gets lost on the way.

How we work

Four rules. None of them are clever, and that is most of why they hold.

One team, no handoffs

The people who design it are the people who build it. Nothing gets handed over, so nothing gets lost on the way.

Few things at a time

We’d rather finish one thing properly than start three.

The boring option, usually

Most of the time the dull choice is the one still working in five years.

We use what we make

If we wouldn’t rely on it ourselves, it doesn’t go out.

Product

We build and ship our own software, from the first sketch to the release.

A system diagram on a whiteboard, being drawn and argued over

Systems

Data, sync, and the rules that keep everything correct while people work.

Printed screen layouts spread across a desk, one being lifted

Interface

Layout, motion, and the small decisions that make it feel simple.

People

Three of us. We hire rarely, and slowly.

HOW IT GOES

Build it, take it apart,
argue about it, build it again.

No first version is the one
that ships. But there’s always
a point where the thing stops
fighting you.

That’s when it’s done.

Careers

We’re not hiring right now. When we are, it’ll say so here.
